Pilates Studio Scalable Template
This is a fascinating case study because it shows Product Thinking applied to a Service Business. We weren't just designing a website; we were designing a scalable "Website-as-a-Service" (WaaS) business model.

Duration :
12 Days
Platform :
WIX
Country :
Germany

Brief Context
The goal was to shift from high-effort custom builds to a scalable "Rent-a-Website" model for local businesses.
Many studio owners (Pilates, Yoga, Bakeries) were using rigid white-label software that lacked brand personality and a premium feel.
We aimed to build a high-end, modular Pilates template that could be deployed rapidly for multiple clients.
The objective was to provide business owners with a premium digital storefront that integrated seamlessly with their backend booking requirements while remaining easy for them to manage.
Challenges
Universal Modular Design :
Creating a "one-size-fits-all" luxury aesthetic that worked for various Pilates brands without requiring major structural changes for each new client.
WIX Technical Constraints :
Designing a premium, modern UI that felt custom-coded while staying within the functional boundaries of the WIX checkout and booking system.
Booking Friction :
Simplifying the complex process of slot-based booking (monthly schedules) into a few clicks to reduce user drop-off.
Mobile-Dominant Traffic :
Over 80% of users book classes while on the go; the challenge was condensing a complex monthly schedule into a tiny screen without losing clarity or premium feel.
Design Approach
I adopted a Mobile-First Design Strategy, recognizing that the majority of the target audience would be interacting with the site via smartphones.
I prioritized "thumb-friendly" navigation and large touch targets for the booking process. I designed a Month-First Navigation Strategy where users could toggle between months using a horizontal swipe or tab system.
This prevented long vertical scrolling and allowed users to find a class slot in seconds. To maintain the "Premium" feel, I utilized a Minimalist UI with generous whitespace and high-quality imagery.
I ensured that the WIX checkout was optimized for mobile, removing unnecessary fields to speed up the transaction.
I also designed a custom Transactional Email Suite (Request Received, Approved, and Cancelled) that was fully responsive, ensuring the brand experience remained seamless whether viewed on a desktop or a mobile inbox.

Key Learnings
Sales-Led Design :
I learned that design can be a powerful sales tool; by building a flexible system in Figma, we reduced the time from "Lead" to "Contract" significantly.
Systemic Creativity :
Designing for a CMS like WIX taught me to see restrictions as a framework for creativity—ensuring a premium look while staying within the "safe zones" of the platform's backend.
Psychological Upselling :
Learned that micro-copy (like "Finishing Touches") has a higher conversion impact than generic labels like "Add-ons."
Advanced Figma Mastery :
This project pushed my skills in Variables and Auto-layout, creating a file that wasn't just a design, but a functional product configuration tool.
